Our standard check-in time is 4pm and our standard check-out time is 10am. Please get in touch in advance if you’d like to request alternative arrival and departure times and one of our team will advise if this is something we may be able to facilitate for the dates you have booked.

A hot tub is provided at each property. These will be turned on and filled in advance of your arrival. Chlorine is not issued to guests, however if you do feel you require a service mid-stay, then please contact our team during office hours and they’ll happily assist.

We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs at The Bridge House and Head Gardener’s Cottage and charge a small fee of £30 for each pet to cover additional cleaning following your departure. We ask that you do not leave dogs in the properties on their own, and that your canine companion sleeps downstairs in a dog bed, rather than the beds we’ve prepared for our human guests.  

Wildlife, including herons, deer, squirrels and pheasants call the estate home and you will likely come across at least one or two visitors to your property during your visit! Depending on the time of year that you stay we will also have sheep and lambs in our field. In the interests safety for our wildlife residents, we ask that you keep your dogs on a lead if you decide to explore the wider estate.

Each of our properties comes with its own allocated area, situated adjacent to your holiday accommodation.

A large ASDA supermarket is located just a 5-minute drive along the A1 from the estate, a Co-op superstore can be found at Countess Crescent in the town centre or alternatively a Premier Store is located on the High Street. Some guests choose to stop off on the way to the estate to purchase supplies using click-and-collect services, while others arrange for delivery directly to the property. As well as ASDA and Premier Stores, the majority of big-name supermarkets deliver to the area.

We have high-chairs and travel cots for you to use so please let us know in advance if you need these and we will arrange for them to be in place for your arrival. Please note that while we provide a mattress and bottom sheet for travel cots, you should bring any additional bedding with you that you might need, for instance a baby’s sleeping bag or toddler’s duvet.

Yes. The South Lodge has two double bedrooms on the ground floor (one en-suite). There are no steps to enter the building, however there are two steps within the hallway which connect the historic part of the building to an extension. The ground floor en-suite bedroom is located before the hallway steps, with the second downstairs bedroom

The Bridge House has one bedroom (en-suite) on the ground floor. All rooms on this floor are level. Access to Bridge House is via several stairs to the front of the property (no handrail), or alternatively access can be gained from the side entrance via 4 steps and an accompanying handrail.

The Head Gardener’s Cottage is accessed via two small steps at the property entrance and there is one bedroom (not en-suite) located on the ground floor, with a WC located next door. The family bathroom is upstairs, utilising the property’s traditional staircase.

For couples, the one-bedroom Lodge on the Loch is all on one level. There are four steps to enter to the property along with a handrail offering support. Once inside, all rooms can be found on the same level.
